Art Portfolio: Magic in the Wild Unicorns

Local Love + Sweet Doggos…

This personal project emerged from a desire to combine a selection of my loves: beautiful local landscapes (including my beloved mountains), unicorns, magic, wonder, and illustration.

I was also motivated by an artist who was offering a one-hour online class for $200 (!) on how to digitally draw on top of photos. I thought that was ridiculous pricing, and figured I could do it easily on my own, so I did!

Because I’ve accumulated a number of adventures in and around the Aspen area, and because I can’t help taking photos with my iPhone wherever I go, and because I’ve been drawing and painting my “Dancing Uniquorns” for years now, this project was a delight to initiate.

I used my own photos taken in local locations and digitally drew my magical unicorn illustrations on top, creating a chance to spot “Magic in the Wild.”
