What grown person calls themselves a unicorn?

I do.

Hi, I’m Mellie. Which is short for Melanie, if it helps things make sense.

I call myself a unicorn because I AM one. I embody joy and innocence in many ways. I’m authentic and I value my integrity, which is why you don’t see me calling myself a “guru” or professing to make you a million dollars in a week.

My depth of skills and talents and interests is unusually broad and deep, so I’m well-equipped to partner with you in exactly the ways YOU need. A brand redesign? Search engine marketing? Copywriting? Website development or maintenance? Illustration? Energy work for your office to increase your team’s productivity?

What do you mean by “magic”?

Richard Rudd (founder of the Gene Keys) says, “Magic is the art of doing nothing outside your own nature. Your brightness flows from your naturalness.”

These words echo why I named this website “MAGIC with Mellie.” It’s why none of my designs or artwork are generic, and every single logo or flyer or piece of artwork or pet portrait embodies and exudes my subject’s pure energetic signature — its NATURE.

I believe we all have unique, magical qualities that we’ve been convinced we need to hide in order to “be successful” in someone else’s eyes. Your energetic signature isn’t visible, but it’s felt.

If you’re hiding who you really are or trying to copy someone else’s path or process or work, others will subconsciously sense the disconnect between what you’re doing and the truth. They’ll feel like something is “off” — and you are!

Without embracing your magic (the brightness that comes from your “naturalness”), you become boring. You settle for a cliché. You remain set to dim. You’re accepting (and showing others) a mere shadow of who you are and what you could accomplish if you allowed yourself to showcase YOU.

When you do that, THAT’S magic.

What do you do?

I’m a professional designer, marketer, artist, and energy worker based in the Crystal and Roaring Fork Valleys (although I also work remotely with delightful, magical clients around the globe). I regularly contribute to a wide range of beautiful businesses and personal clients, sprinkling my magic wherever I go.

What drives you?

My goal is to allow others to fully discover and embrace their magic, which includes their own unique paths and processes.

To do this requires truth. Truth in motive, truth in desire, truth of presence, truth of essence. Charades won’t help you.

Why are you so focused on energy?

Energy is the foundation of EVERYTHING, whether or not you want to acknowledge it.

My energy weaves through everything I do. And because I have spent so many years clearing and maintaining my own energy field, that’s a powerful and precious and very, very valuable aspect of my work.

But that doesn’t have to mean hiring me for an energy work session. It means that because my field is clear and strong and continually scrubbed of distortions, working with me or purchasing artwork from me automatically supports your deepest transformation.

My logo designs are like siren songs, energetically broadcasting who you and your business really are on the deepest level. My pet portraits support you in being your true self because our the innocence of our animals reminds us of our own. And so on.
